We worked alongside our friends at Hot Black Interiors to create environmental graphics, signage & wayfinding for Cancer Council Victoria’s new headquarters building on St. Kilda Road, Melbourne.
The brief was challenging — the sensitive nature of the environment and the mix of people required great restraint with our design approach. We adopted an active theme for each of the floor level expressed through the use of specially drawn icons. The other key element — a stylised map of Melbourne’s streets. Details of the Melbourne map appear all over the building, used as privacy screening for the many glass meeting rooms.
Typography for the directory and room identification tags utilise the clean cut look of News Gothic which compliments the graphics beautifully.
