Held in 2013 ‘Turner form the Tate: The Making of a Master’ was a massive success for all the entities involved in bringing the exhibition to the Art Gallery of South Australia.
Under the direction of Ray Leggott of The Wood Agency we put together an 80 page report that detailed all the elements that combined to make the exhibition so popular. In 100 days the gallery saw 92,000 tickets purchased. More than 40 per cent of visitors were from overseas, interstate or regional South Australia, and of these more than half came to Adelaide specifically for the exhibition. A big win all round.
